On Thursday, the fourth of March, Abdulrahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS), continued its examples of integrity and innovation during remote learning with a “virtual sports day”. Initiated by the school’s PE Department and rolled out across (which grades), accessed 700 students. The programme was in line with the school’s 4th Pillar- Health, Safety and Child Protection. The mantra of Bahrain’s Youth and Sport- an active and inspired nation #TeamBahrain was the drive of the day. Speaking about the feedback from the students, M.s Marites, said ” The students used what they had access to at home within this programme and the special circumstances of the pandemic, to not only keep moving but to be involved, engaged and encouraged by each other. Stressing the importance of health and activity, it was great to see how we could utilise our remote learning to be impactful and creative- as we have done over the past year for many other streams within ARKIS”
