When does admission open?

Admission will open on 1st of February, 2024.

How to arrange for a school tour?

Is there an entrance exam?

Yes, there is a written and interview entrance exam for Grade 1 and above in English, Arabic and Math. Grade 9 and above students will be conducting a written exam in Science (Biology, chemistry, physics) along with the previously mentioned subjects.

For Preschool, the parent should record their child in a short video following the instructions provided by the admission team.

What is the admission process and time-frame?

Once an application is filled and the required documents are uploaded, the student will be called for an entrance exam. The admission team will provide a feedback approximately 3-5 days post entrance exam date.

How many teachers are there in each division for Preschool?

Each division will have two homeroom teachers for English and Arabic.

What is the school timing?


Gates open at 7:10 am, dismissal time for schools are as per below:

  • Preschool – 01:00 PM
  • Elementary – 01:40 PM
  • Secondary – 02:30 PM


What is the office timing?


  • Sunday to Wednesday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Thursday 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM


What are the gates to be used for drop-off and pick-up time?

Should Preschool students be Potty trained?

Yes, we only accept Potty trained students. Accidents do happen, so we encourage Preschool parents to have an extra change in their child’s bag clearly labelled with the students’ name.

When are the school holidays?

Please look at the school calendar for the term dates and holidays for 2024-2025.

Is there transportation offered by ARKIS?

We currently don’t have any transportation offered by ARKIS.

What are the shoes and bag specifications for ARKIS students?

Students should wear black shoes or trainers for school and sport shoes (any colour) for PE. Trolley bags are not allowed.

Where do we buy the school uniform?

The school uniform is available in House of Uniform.

Is there an afterschool club?

Yes, we do have an after school club for an additional fee (For Preschool up to Grade 5)

Do you have an Arabic Program?

We follow the MOE curriculum and provide Arabic classes every day. All Arab students should be enrolled in Arabic First Language, whereas, Non-Arab students can choose whether to be enrolled in Arabic Second Language or Arabic First Language.

Non-Arab parents who wish their child to be enrolled in Arabic First Language should sign on an undertaking letter and submit it to the admission department.

Curriculum

What curriculum does ARKIS follow?

ARKIS follows the British Cambridge Curriculum. Grades 9 and 10 students follow the IGCSE, followed by the IBO Diploma curriculum in Grades 11 and 12. All Bahraini students follow the MOE curriculum for Social Studies, Citizenship and Religion.

How many breaks are there?

There are two breaks from Sunday to Wednesday and one break on Thursday.

Accounts/Payment

What are the payment options for ARKIS?

The school fees can be remitted through online banking (Fawateer), Benefit pay (Fawateer) or through visiting any branches of Ahli United Bank. For further details, please contact the Accounts Department via email [email protected].

Is there a siblings’ discount?

No, we currently do not have a sibling discount.

What are the payment installments?


We have two fee installments:

  • Installment 1 fee must be paid within 10 days of receiving school’s acceptance for new students. For returning/existing students to be paid in June.
  • Installment 2 fee must be paid in January.

How do we reserve seats for our students every year?



Seat reservation circular will be sent on Springring every year in order to confirm your child seat for the upcoming academic year. Seat reservation fees is BHD100 which will be deducted from the upcoming first installment fees.

  • Seat reservation will not be accepted if the current year fees is not fully paid.
  • Seat reservation is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  • Payments made after 31st January need approval from the admission department and seats cannot be guaranteed.


Health and Safety

Is there a Nurse on campus throughout the school day?

Yes, we have a school doctor and nurses at the campus throughout the school day.

Are you a nut free school?

Yes, we are a nut free school.

Is there a food provider in school, and what kind of food does it serve?

Yes, we do have a food provider in school, providing a selection of healthy food. It is also possible to provide your own food.

What kind of food/snacks can my child bring to school?

Healthy snacks like fruits, vegetables and sandwiches.
