The winner of a prestigious MUN Kids Campaign was Abdulrahman Kanoo International School students Mohammed Ahmed Alshaikh, Grade 5K. The awareness campaign for children and school students was aimed to spread environmental awareness and the importance of preserving and promoting positive values and national identity. The initiative is part of the Ministry’s framework of making an impact and featuring issues related to environmental factors in the future. This programme saw children design parks and facilities within the Minecraft Game in the MUN Kids Campaign.
Mohammed won with this design for the “Most Beautiful Innovative Park” and featured “very beautiful facilities in an environmentally friendly way, inclusive of parking, guard room, bathrooms, a restaurant, express train and soccer field, overlooking a beautiful scenery.” He was honored by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture: Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Dr. Fernanda Lonardoni: Director of The United Nations Human Settlements Programme in Bahrain
