Abdulrahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS) placed first within the Bahrain Schools League season 2021/2022. This competition was arranged by the Bahrain Sports Federation for Schools and Universities and under the patronage of the President (Dr.) Sheikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa. Held at the Khalifa Sports City (Swimming Pool), 20 private schools participated in the league which included sports both at an individual and team level. ARKIS students won the largest amount of gold, silver, and bronze medals at the games. Congratulations to all those who participated and supported the event, with special acknowledgement to:

  • Alaa bin Rajab from Grade 12 who won a total of six medals;5 gold and 1 silver.
  • Aya bin Rajab from Grade 10 won six gold medals.
  • Zainab Qaheri from Grade 11 won eight medals; 6 gold, 1 silver and a bronze medal. 
  • Adam Husain from 8 won 3 gold and 1 silver medal.
  • Abdulrahman Mustafa from Grade 7 won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
  • Mohammed Bucheery from Grade 8 won 3 gold and 1 silver medal. 
  • Jannah Zelaikh from Grade G9 won 1 bronze medal. 
  • Sofia Zuhair from Grade 7 won 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal.

Speaking on the exceptional win, Head of ARKIS PE Department Mrs. Ramla Al Shajjar commented, “This league included schools such as American School Bahrain, St Christophers, BSB, Bayan, Al Raja, IKNS and Modern Knowledge. It was designed to provide opportunities for private schools to enhance cooperation between the union and other schools for the season 2021/2022. I and my team are incredibly proud of the students and how they conducted themselves during this competition- congratulations Team ARKIS.”
