  • ARKEDU is the first Bahraini Education Group in the Kingdom, of which two schools are currently under: ARKIS and ARKS Diyar.

Abdulrahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS) held its 15th graduation last night at the Gulf Hotel and Convention Centre. Attended by H.E Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma: Minister of Education & H.H Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Moawda: Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Environment, the 15th graduating class takes ARKIS Alumni to over 2000 IB and high school students, since our late Founder, Mr. Abdulrahman Jasim Kanoo opened the school in 1997. 

The 2024 graduating class consisted of 122 high school and International Baccalaureate (IB) students, along with their parents and guests  being addressed by Mr. Tariq Abdullatif Jasim Kanoo- Chairman of ARKEDU. The announcement, to a standing ovulation, of a new undergraduate scholarship under ARKEDU. “As the only private school to offer such incentives, investment in our community and that of our children’s education is the Trustees mission. To date over US $ 1000000 has been spent on paying for the full undergraduate programmes, for 14 outstanding and talented graduates via the AKA Scholarship programme. Tonight, as Chairman and on behalf of the Board, I announce a further ARKEDU scholarship and ARKEDU Excellence in IB Award.  Our late Founder believed, as the Board does, that there is overwhelming evidence suggesting that investing in education can yield significant long-term benefits for both the individual and society as a whole. Announcement of the existing scholarship and the new scholarship will be announced next week. The Excellence in IB Award will be declared once the IB results are posted in July.”

Speaking to the esteemed guests, ARKIS Principal Ms. Kate Moskawa noted, “our graduates will be attending universities in sectors of aviation, finance, law, cybersecurity, and engineering around the world, inclusive of the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Greece, the United States and Bahrain, with a number of graduates joining Bahrain Defense Force.” The head of Secondary School, Mr. Steve Lewis commenting, “I am proud to be part of the ARKEDU Group, committed to providing an outstanding education that seeks to foster a sense of civic responsibility and ethical values. Heartfelt congratulations to the class of 2024, this is just the beginning, ARKIS gave you wings, now is your time to fly.”

Prizes were awarded to outstanding Alumni of ARKIS. This new recognition was the idea of Dr Faisal Kanoo- Vice Chairman, in a way of “fostering continued relationships and honouring distinguished graduates. With a panel of leadership members, a clear criteria was formed, and hereafter at ARKIS graduations, our Alumni who have supported the school and made significant contributions to the community within many fields, will be acknowledged”.
