She believes that the scholarship has helped her reach her dreams.
“I finished my second year of studies, and have gained mixed feelings. For once, this was probably the most hectic, and stressful year. It almost felt like I was back in school doing my IBDP, so I am glad it is over. On the other hand, it means that I only have one more year left, and I don’t think I’m ready to leave Portsmouth.’ The AKA scholarship not only allows you to venture into the world of work and higher education. It also enables you to learn essential ‘Real life skills.
I’ve made connections with many people and built a good network. My final area of study was crucial for my professional career, I got to explore the topic of feminism in four different assignments which is very important to me, and it’s something that I want to incorporate in my professional career, so every time I was presented with an opportunity to write about it, I took it. I persevered and worked hard during school and university. I can’t wait for what’s lying around for me next”
