Abdulrahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS) celebrated its 16th graduation ceremony on May 26, 2025, at the Gulf Hotel, attended by H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education. With this ceremony, the total number of ARKIS graduates surpasses 2,000 since the school’s founding in 1997 by our late founder, Mr. Abdulrahman Jasim Kanoo.

The graduating class of 130 students received their International Baccalaureate Certificates, with Mr. Tariq Kanoo, Chairman of ARKEDU, addressing the attendees. He stated, “We are still committed to the will of my late uncle Abdulrahman bin Jassim Kanoo, who was keen for this school to be an incubator for your children and one of the beacons of education in Bahrain.” He also announced the scholarship initiatives, emphasizing the commitment to invest in education as a means to benefit both individuals and society. “We have invested over $1 million in scholarships for our distinguished students,” he added. “ARKEDU remains dedicated to our community and the educational success of our children.”

In her address, Ms. Kate Moskwa, the School Principal highlighted that the graduates will pursue diverse academic paths, including aviation, banking, law, cybersecurity, and engineering, attending universities across the UK, UAE, Greece, the Netherlands, Germany, and Bahrain. “Your interests and aspirations reflect your talents and limitless potential,” she remarked.

Mr. Tariq Kanoo acknowledged the Ministry of Education’s support for private institutions, which contributes to the development of Bahraini competencies in various fields. He noted, “Our school has received a rating of good with outstanding features from BQA for this academic year, demonstrating our commitment to providing exceptional educational experiences.”

Awards were presented to outstanding alumni, each representing the school values of kindness, aspiration, diversity, uniqueness, respect, and excellence. Below are the awarded alumni for this year:

  • Jasim Khaled AlJasim – Award for Diversity
  • Mashael Abul Samad Engineer – Award for Aspirational
  • Rawan Omar AlHosani – Award for Uniqueness
  • Mohammed Abdulelah Abdulghaffar – Award for Kindness

This initiative, inspired by Dr. Faisal Kanoo, Vice Chairman, aims to foster continued relationships and honor distinguished graduates.
