Recognised on an annual basis, once again the anticipated and staff driven AK Principal Award was acknowledged today at Abdulrahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS). The award was created back in 2021 to acknowledge the diverse and essential contributions of staff and support ARKIS commitment to our Founders core values of: Aspirational, Respect, Kindness, Excellence, Diversity, and Uniqueness. The AK Principal Award is an opportunity for the School to honour these exceptional accomplishments with staff within the Academic and Operational areas. Using the peer nomination technique, all staff had the opportunity to provide one nomination with clear guidelines and inclusion and exclusion criteria. The AK Principal Award is led out of the Special Projects Office, under the umbrella of the Principal’s Office. The Principal Chairs’ of the awards panel, with the final selection named at the school’s special staff luncheon held on campus.
The announcement took place with ARKIS Principal Ms. Kate Moskwa noting “ Ms. Colleen Toscano and Ms. Ghania Aleskafi are both remarkably able staff members, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to present them with these awards. This marks the fourth year now of these awards that reflect our late Founders vision and with the approval of the Board of Trustees, shows their commitment to being an exemplary place to work for which efforts are not gone unnoticed. Biggest congratulations to all nominates, specifically to Ms. Colleen Toscano, HR Executive from the operational staff, and Ms. Ghania Aleskafi, homeroom teacher and grade leader from the academic staff.
