The ARKIS Physical Education Department offers to our students an extensive range of after school activities throughout the school year which provides engaging, progressive, and movement-based programmes.

Students will have opportunities to improve motor and cognitive skills which have a huge impact on their character, resilience, and self esteem. The programmes are designed to meet students’ needs and develop the talents of all students by offering engaging and fun activities in safe environments.

The Activities that ARKIS offer throughout the academic year to our students are comprehensive and ensure that there is something to fulfill every student’s need.

Preschool

Little Olympians

Little Olympians Club is a club for everyone. It’s meant to fulfill needs for movement, social interaction and to develop motor and cognitive skills through a variety of physical activities. Students will experience a range of games using different equipment and improving communication skills.

Taekwondo Club

The Taekwondo Club is for students who would like to nurture self discipline and self esteem while learning new skills and having fun. Learn an array of skills that will not only teach you how to play Taekwondo, but are transferable to real life situations.

Gymnastics Club

Little Gymnasts today Great Athletes tomorrow! Gymnastics is one of the three basic sports (swimming, athletics and gymnastics). Gymnastics shapes a good self discipline, improves strength, agility, coordination and physical conditioning, as well as body awareness. Join us to

Elementary school

Sports Club

Sports Club is one of the most popular after school activities. Program offers a variety of physical activities incorporating a different kind of equipment and provides comprehensive experience while being active. Students will improve their motor skills, teamwork skills and fitness level overall.

Taekwondo Club

Taekwondo Club is for students who would like to nurture self discipline and self esteem while learning new skills and having fun. Learn an array of skills that will not only teach you how to play Taekwondo, but are transferable to real life situations.

Gymnastics Club

Gymnastic Club is for students who would like to nurture self discipline and self esteem while learning new skills and having fun. Learn an array of skills that will not only teach you Gymnastic elements, but are transferable to a range of other sports. It will help you become a better athlete overall as it improves strength, agility, coordination and physical conditioning.

Secondary School

Basketball Club (Boys and Girls - separately)

Basketball club is open for those students who wish to develop their coordination, specifically hand-eye coordination, foot work, team work skills, communication and problem solving skills all whilst having fun.

Football Club (Boys only)

Football Club is the opportunity for passionate football players to come and play against their peers and learn new skills. It is an excellent way to get a high intensity physical workout that improves the cardiovascular system by building endurance and stamina, improving agility skills, problem solving skills and teamwork skills.

Badminton Club (Girls only)

The Badminton club is all about fun while you improve your overall fitness level and coordination. Students will learn and improve their badminton skills, enjoy mini tournaments and build their confidence. It is suitable for beginners to advanced players.

Sports Club

Sports Club is open for those students who love to be active and enjoy physical activities, just not one particularly. It will be a programme with multi-sports activities (dodgeball, basketball, football, fun games with a ball etc.). While having fun, students will improve their motor skills, teamwork skills, communication skills and overall fitness level.

Fitness Club (Boys only)

Fitness Club is all about fun while students improve their overall fitness level and coordination. Students will learn about fitness components and improve their overall fitness level. They will enjoy mini challenges and build their confidence. It is suitable for all fitness levels.
